Mr. Muhammad Tahir holds a Master's Degree in Population Science, majoring in Demography and Research Methods from the University of Punjab, Lahore. He has remained in different managerial positions in INGOs, marketing research companies, and consulting firms in the development sector. He has extensive experience in managing and conducting national, provincial, and district level household surveys and census. Mr. Tahir currently working with APEX Consulting Pakistan as a National Monitoring, Evaluation and Research Officer, his expertise includes qualitative and quantitative research, monitoring and evaluation, data management, statistical analysis, and technical report writing. He has rich experience in working with countrywide programs such as Detailed Livelihood Assessment, Benazir Income Support Program, Sanitation Programme at Scale in Pakistan, Electoral Support Programme, and Punjab Literacy Promotion Project. He has developed educational EFA atlas and different graduate maps by using GIS technologies for effective monitoring, micro-planning, and decision making for further need assessment. As a GIS master trainer, he has conducted a number of hands-on technical mapping training. He has developed survey instruments and user manuals for field monitoring staff, supervised, and has provided technical assistance in the development process of the Third-Party Monitoring GIS-based M&E reporting system.
